something new every day

they aren't kidding when they say a toddler picks up something new every day.  Noah is LITERALLY picking up something new everyday.  here are some of the fun little things:

Today I heard him say two new words.  'Hi' and 'boom'.  :-)  nice words to add to the list, don't you think?  'Bye' is probably the most frequent word that he says so its only fitting that he should start to say 'Hi' too.  Things always go 'boom' around here too.  Like towers of blocks, trucks colliding with something, Noah's head hitting something, Noah losing his balance and falling down.

I also found him trying to get the backpack we use as a diaper bag on his back this morning.  too cute.  He has also figured out how to unzip the backpack and unload everything.  This has been oh so very helpful at times, but cute nonetheless.  because as soon as he sees the goldfish container or the crayons, that's what he would like.

Another fun thing that he's been doing is putting his hands together in prayer when we say grace at dinner.  He gets this proud happy smile on his face.

Its kinda fun to watch him interact with other kids.  Music class this session has been lots of fun.  The class is a little bigger and the kids are a little older so its fun because Noah will sit and watch them.  Plus, he's always the one who has to be particular about how the sticks go back into the basket or how he has to find the perfect set of shakers at the bottom of the pile.  He's becoming more outgoing at music class.  This week he went under the big parachute with the other kids.  He went up to one little boy who was prolly 2 and looked at him with a big smile and giggled.  He's a big helper to Miss Rene as well since he likes to help her carry the baskets of instruments and put them away when we're done.  He also has a fun time detuning her guitar.  Anyways, music class is lots of fun.  I'm glad we signed up again for this session.

Yesterday when Noah was done with his bath, we were waiting for Daddy to come take him out of the bathtub and dry him off.  So, there he was, calling for dad, "dad, dad, dad!!"

You should see his face light up whenever we hear a dog barking outside.  When I ask him what  he hears he sticks his hand up to his ear and then runs over the couch so he can climb up and look outside.  Its usually Blizzard which makes him even more excited since he likes to play and chase her around whenever he's playing next door.

I think we are entering the stage where he's trying to communicate with us and he gets frustrated when he can't.  Sometimes it looks like he's trying to sign 10 different signs at once and then usually he'll give up and fuss for a minute and then say, "up," wanting me to pick him up.  This is a little frustrating for all of us, but thankfully we can eventually communicate, if nothing else works, by pointing or having some snuggles with mama.  I think we'll soon be in the language explosion so hopefully this will get better soon.

Noah sends his love!!  Sorry kids...couldn't get blogger to upload any pics.  more later!!
