art project overload

noah's favorite thing to do besides legos is making art projects. every morning, the sneaky boy that he is, comes downstairs without us hearing him and usually starts doing something with art supplies. so, i often come downstairs when carter wakes up to find something like this:

yarn, paint, tape, glue, glue stick, paper, scissors, pipecleaners, etc

we have a dedicated art supply station at the counter:

very handy but it is jam packed full of stuff. and when something doesn't fit in the drawers, it often ends up in between the storage unit and the wall like the pipecleaners.

the easter bunny brought noah some tape cause he was all out. so he soon was at work building this with the card stock:

i am very impressed with what he puts together. this is a picture that he brought home from school. its a caterpillar with spikeys and blue polka dots. (they're studying insects this week)

this is a "sign" that says mama and noah.

and the explanation about this is, "this is a picture of miss brooke. she also wrote chocolate pizza and i traced the letters. the blue spikes are feet"

we are in art project overload though...not quite sure where to put completed projects - would feel awful throwing some of it away. we already have art projects pasted on the sliding glass door and a portfolio for some of his stuff. but, they are becoming increasingly 3 dimensional.
