here are a few pics of the catskills trip we went on with good friends. in between noah getting a stomach bug, we had a nice time and stayed in a pretty cool place. here's noah and christine cuddling on the huge window seat.
and from the kitchen.
here's the face you get when you ask noah to smile for the camera. please note the new glasses.
working on the new safari puzzle with greg and christine. only put it together...oh...4 times over the weekend?
and last but not least and completely unrelated, a picture of the biggest carrot i've ever ever seen. and, no, the 4 inch paring knife was NOT sufficient for cutting this beast, just for some perspective. we also have some ENOURMOUS daikon radishes and rutabegas but i need to get some pics uploaded first.

and some stories...
***
we spent 15 minutes at dinner last night talking about funny names for a dog. some funny ones noah came up with were 'dog', 'cat', 'arm pit', and 'fridge.' he thought it was hilarious.
our little smartypants is interested in addition. we frequently have discussions about how much 3 and 3 make or whatever can fit on our fingers. we then count, especially to practice our numbers 15-20 since we frequently forget a few of those.
noah made a "t-rex" dinosaur for the bulletin board at school. he informed me that his t-rex is a girl carnivore because "she has zigzag teeth and eats meat" and is painted brown, green, and pink. (i think, but there may be more colors). AND he knows the official names of most of the common dinos. very smart.
noah still has a cough but at least his ears are fine. mama still has a cough too but she is still getting up early a few times a week to work out. daddy's knee was bothering him but is now getting better.
here are a few pics of when we went sledding around new years. noah had a blast and thought it was the greatest thing ever. despite the unfocus, just look at this (noah's, not mama's) face!!
sorry we're not the best bloggers in the world as of late, especially since facebookers might have seen some of the pics before. i'm thinking about some fun topics for future posts including some nice pics from the holidays, so stay tuned.

I still love seeing the pics. And because of the hot chocolate face, I gave the girls hot chocolate in their own mugs last week. They were kinda indifferent. They still aren't quite ready for it though since P dumped it all over her arm. Good thing it was really just warm chocolate.
