it is no surprise that i don't think we could do without slings around here. hands down, though, i always reach for one wrap these days - the beautiful Inara's rainbow girasol wrap. 4.6 meters of pure happiness for carter and babywearer. certainly one of my favorite things.
on the lookout for great organic onesies for babies? we got this awesome onesie from a good friend and old roommate, Tracy, as a gift. (hi Tracy and Beatrice!!) what i love most about these is that they don't have to get pulled on over the head, which most babies hate, especially carter. will certainly be wearing these ALL THE TIME this summer, i bet. cause, well, i love onesies for babies, especially when its hot. plus organic cotton. can't beat that.
another new favorite find was another gift by old neighbors and good friends Becky and Jason and (growing!! yay!!) family. we are so blessed to have such great friends that know of all this great stuff! Anyways, they introduced us to BumGenius 4.0 pocket cloth diapers. how cool are these? can you imagine the SAME diaper fitting a kiddo from baby to potty training? and how cute and trim and adjustable are they?! definitely a new favorite. and thanks to some other awesome mama friends, i used a gift certificate to an awesome online store they gave us to buy some more and took advantage of the buy 5 get 1 free sale. perfect! i can't say enough about how great these are. i definitely reach for these before any of the other cloth diapers we have.
i am also in love with these great muslin swaddle blankets for carter. make swaddling a newborn super easy. they are big and comfy and awesome. now that he is starting to break out of his swaddles, we still wrap him up in them, but our swaddling days are limited. But, i am going to try to turn a few of them into a lovie security blanket similar to these for when i go back to work in July (sigh). noah has some too and he likes to cuddle with them at night too.
so there's my sales pitch for my favorite things for carter.

LOVE the A&A swaddle blankets! Have you tried FuzziBunz diapers? That's what we use but I'm curious about how they compare to BumGenius.

So glad you like the diapers! I'm trying to decide what we need to add to our stash when Nugget arrives. And we love those blankets too - a gift from you to Eliza! We swaddled her in them past 12 months (esp for naps) cuz she just loved them and now they are her "blankie" and she cuddles them. I tried the smaller security blanket version, and she's not interested. Not enough to snuggle with I guess! And that wrap is gorgeous. so jealous. (oh and we like Fuzzi Bunz diapers too...)
Tracy - i've never tried fuzzibunz (just prefolds and the bumgenius) but, i'm guessing they must be similar?
Becky - so, eliza didn't like the secrity blanket version? how many layers of muslin are they? we have so many blankets that we will have both, so we'll see what he likes.
