appt update and other things

After we braved the awful drivers on the road yesterday to drive out to Sarah's office we had a good appt. (note i say awful drivers and not awful roads...snowy roads in PA are pathetic!)

nothing terribly exciting to note, since everything appeared to be going smoothly. measuring right on, gaining more weight than i would like but is probably because of water weight and readjusted scales at the office. bp a little high but she's happy with my home readings. heartbeat in the 150s, in a GREAT position (LOT [Left, Occiput, Transverse] meaning back towards the left, feet towards the right, head down). We talked some about newborn procedures and gave us some handouts for making informed decisions regarding GBS and vit K and eye ointment, etc. and also turns out that the Amish women have the best kind of nightgown to wear during labor. hmmm, how to use that information? anyways, i'm on the lookout for something to wear.

we have our home visit at 37 weeks. anyone have any questions for Sarah?

we're also going to meet with our doula once again next weekend and she'll come to our homevisit to make sure everyone is on the same page.

also next weekend, we're going to have some maternity pictures taken with Lauren Blair photography. i love her pics! how beautiful and i'm so excited!
